Position: Program Manager, Senior - FAA

 

Job Summary

 

This position will provide experienced FAA Program Management and Oversight, Leadership, and Support to Cobec Consulting internal projects and external initiatives such as supporting programs within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other government agencies.

 

Years of Relevant Experience

 

The position requires 15+ years of relevant experience as a Program Manager. Previous experience with the FAA and/or within the FAA Technical Operations field is desired.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

The following duties are normal for this position.  The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, and/or a logical assignment for this position.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

 

  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact to the Government, managing the overall day-to-day operations of the program, readily available to respond to all questions, concerns, or problems. 
  • Execute the day-to-day project management functions to ensure successful program execution, status reporting, cost control, risk and issues management and communications flow among the team members, the customer, and program stakeholders and partners.
  • Effectively lead a cross functional team acting as the point of contact with government program authorities and representatives.
  • Responsible for the quality and efficiency of all work including technical issues and business processes.
  • Provide overall leadership to all personnel assigned to the contract 
  • Have the authority to commit the organization in response to the Government’s issues, concerns, or problems 
  • Proactively track and alert Government stakeholders to potential contractual, financial, performance, or programmatic issues. 
  • Delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports to Government stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of NAS systems interfacing with Tech Ops personnel in the field
  • Understanding Training, Safety, and maintenance requirements as it pertains to Tech Ops and field personnel
  • Promote innovation, strategic recommendations, and develop new ways of analyzing and reporting data for customers, clients, and coworkers.

 

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s/MBA preferred.

  • Excellent and demonstrated project management experience
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Products
  • Excellent follow-through 
  • Professional appearance 
  • Takes initiative and is Self-motivated
  • Must be able to demonstrate balancing multiple tasks with multiple clients
  • Mastery of FAA Headquarters and Tech Ops Processes.
  • Direct experience as a Program Manager.
  • Must be PMP Certified.

 

Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years

Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance

 

Travel

Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company
