Position: Senior Level Program Analyst
Years of Relevant Experience
The position requires 8+ equivalent years of experience in program management and/or business management support. Specific experience with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is desired. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. may count for additional years of experience.
The person selected for this position will serve as an Program Analyst and will have to apply experience and expert knowledge of FAA Acquisition Management System policy and analyze specialized information about automation equipment to forecast future requirements. You will need to be able to recommend procedures for operational and system requirements to address operational performance deficiencies to management. You will also have to work with Senior Management to identify and jointly solve problems.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Integrating the work of multiple organizational units to accomplish mission objectives. Identifying and developing solutions to current and anticipated problems that affect internal and external organizations.
- Appling expert knowledge of FAA Acquisition Management System policy and FAA program objectives to identify efficient and effective uses of resources while ensuring cost effective business solutions and services are implemented and/or validated.
- Conducting analytical design, data mining, qualitative and quantitative studies, and related programmatic activities to report organizational anomalies and trends. You will provide independent assessments, and develop and present complex, technical information and graphics with precision and clarity.
- Providing technical input to operations managers as required for efficiency and continuity of NAS operations.
In addition, you will work with acquisition processes and program management, including the FAA Acquisition Management System, Capital Investment Plan, Acquisition Executive Board, Joint Resources Council, and Project Management Institute credentials. You will work with NAS modernization, and implementation of new technology in the NAS, ensuring consistent technical responses from the FAA organization to internal and external organizations. You will work independently to provide technical guidance about relationships between current and future NAS systems to be acquired, developed, and integrated via numerous acquisition programs, providing advice, guidance, and recommendations to the Program Manager.
Individuals will be required to contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships. Detail oriented, self-driven individuals sought.
Bachelor’s degree recommended but not necessary, preferably in business, engineering, operation research, or a similar field. Graduate and Post Graduate degrees are a plus
High level of proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office Products. Strong analytical background and good interpersonal skills.
Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years.
Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.
